Overview
Volunteers teaching placement opportunities are available in schools throughout the Volta Region of Ghana. Most children in rural community schools lack quality education as a result of teachers refusing posting to rural community schools due to inadequate or lack of facilities in these schools. Volunteers are needed to make a lasting difference in Ghanaian community schools through education while experiencing African life and culture.

Locations Volta Region
  Minimum Stay 2 weeks
  Maximum Stay 3 months
  Program Dates Jan-March May-July Sept-Nov
  Requirements Knowledge in subject to teach.
Your Role as Volunteer
As a volunteer in Ghana you will receive assistance from the local school teachers regarding the lesson plans and teaching curriculum. There will be a Teaching Guide book to assist you in your daily work with the children.Mostly you will be paired in class with a local teacher but some circumstances you will have a class to yourself

Project-Building of Kindergaten School blocks

School construction
DIVOG has initiated construction of kindergarten blocks for kids between the ages of 3 to 6 in the Volta Region of Ghana. This volunteer program has been initiated because kindergarten have been put into the mainstream of Ghana; s education and most of the school do not have classroom at all while those that have undertake lesson in open shed which does not promote effective teaching and learning.Would be Volunteers are needed to help compliment project initiated by communities in this regard.
