Sustainable Agricultural Volunteer Program

Agriculture is the key to Ghana’s domestic economy – subsistence agriculture accounts for 35% of Ghana’s GDP and 55% of Ghana’s workforce. Despite this magnitude, agricultural efficiency, especially on small farms, is extremely low. If you have practical/academic knowledge in sustainable agriculture or are simply interested in helping increase this year’s harvest, you could make an enormous, immediate, and lasting impact in Ghana. With this in mind, DIVOG has sought international volunteers to assist in our efforts to provide sufficient food for underprivileged children, orphans, and the disabled. We support several orphanages in our local communities, collaborating with the Department of Social Welfare to ensure that nutritional needs are met for these underprivileged children. Whether you’d be interested in providing training in modern best-practices or lending a helping hand in this year’s harvest, you are welcome. Spending your time and energy on our Agriculture program will directly address the basic needs of underprivileged children in our rural communities.
