Volunteering with DIVOG is an entirely customizable experience, and we pride ourselves on our tailor-made, life-changing affordable volunteer programs abroad. Whether you’re hoping to make the most out of two weeks in Ghana or you’re eager to relocate to a rural Ghanaian village for three months of teaching, we can put together an itinerary for you. Due to this flexible program structure, we don’t have set-in-stone pricing: there are baseline prices for your meals, bottled water, airport pick-up, homestay, etc., but the total costs will be determined by the program we put together for you. As we plan out your trip together, we strive to make the program fee cheap.Although some organizations rely on external funding to cover such costs, Disaster Volunteers of Ghana (DIVOG) relies only on funds raised through volunteer program fees and donations. Ghana is considered a cheap or budget country to volunteer in, but local non-profit organizations are facing higher costs due to the rise in transportation and utilities fees

What Can I Add on to my Itinerary?

Check out Get to Know Ghana for in-depth descriptions of the many amazing Ghanaian destinations that we recommend for Program Add-ons. Prices vary depending on the number of people in your group and the other Cultural Destinations that you choose. Some of these destinations, such as those included in the standard DIVOG program agenda, are located close to your host community and can be visited as a day trip. Other destinations are several hours away, require overnight stays and require slightly higher program fees. Please reach out to us with any questions!
