Going Going Ghana is an international coalition of women that have worked together to improve educational facilities in Biakpa, Ghana, a small community in Ghana’s Volta Region. Going Going Ghana raised nearly $18,000 to fund the construction of a new school facility in this village, and more than a dozen Going Going Ghana volunteers visited Biakpa in Spring 2011 to complete the school construction project. This group also provided an enormous amount of school supplies and materials to support the educational efforts in the Biakpa community.

Going Going Ghana and DIVOG have collaborated to complete this rural school initiative, which has transformed the lives of Biakpa’s young students. Previously, school lessons were cancelled on rainy days due to the insufficient classroom facilities, and many students had to bring tables from home to serve as desks.
