Meet the Staff
Founder & Executive Director
Richard originally founded DIVOG in 1997 and has dedicated his life to this non-profit since then. Over the last few years, Richard has traveled extensively through the United States and Canada to increase awareness of the harsh conditions faced by many women, children, and the elderly in his neighboring Ghanaian communities. He has inspired hundreds of international volunteers to join the DIVOG efforts, contributing time and funding to empower socio-economic change throughout rural Ghana.

Director of Project & Volunteer Management
Robert studied Psychology at the University of Ghana-Legon and has been working with DIVOG since its inception in 2002. Robert is from Agotime-Akpokope, a small village in the Volta Region of Ghana. According to Robert, what’s the fuel that churns the DIVOG machine? Empowerment. From local materials to back-breaking manual labor, community participation in all DIVOG projects is what makes them successful and sustainable. While you’ll have the opportunity to work with the entire DIVOG staff, it’s Robert’s job to make sure you have a fun, safe, comfortable and inspiring experience in Ghana.
